MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dusaspun has grown rapidly since its beginnings in 1984. As an organization, we strive to serve people's needs and to enhance our national and regional reputation. During the past two decades, we have developed our manufacturing systems, expanded our workforce, and, consequently, strengthened our recognition and acclaim as concrete pipe manufacturers. We continue to value the same goals and embrace the same work ethics in order to rival competitors and keep pace with evolving market conditions. However, our top priority shall remain the needs of the Indonesian people and their communities, from which we derive our purpose as manufacturers and as a company.
Our company has forged successful alliances with a number of respected international organizations, namely Nippon Humes Corporation of Japan, Societe Des Tuyaux Bonna of France, and CSR Humes Pty Ltd of Australia. These partnerships have led to the formations of several subsidiary and technical companies.
As Dusaspun continues to expand, we aspire to raise our standards and enhance both the human and technological components of production and service. We also endeavor to keep pace with developments in the concrete pipe and industry as well as in other precast concrete products. With increased research efforts and use of state-of-the-art technology, we will upgrade our production facilities and manufacturing processes to provide better-quality products.

HISTORY
PT. Duta Sarana Perkasa entered the pipe manufacturing and present concrete product business in 1984 with a staff of only 40 personnel. This opening established the company as the pioneer of the spun technology, which is internationally known as Hume pipes.
In 1987, Dusaspun acquired PT. Wira Tehnik Nusantara, a subsidiary company that employs the vertical casting method of manufacturing pipes. In 1991, Dusaspun entered the ready-mix concrete business in adjunction with PT. Intermix Perkasa, which later entered the quarry business in 1995.
In 1993, an alliance with two international companies, the Societe Des Tuyaux of France and Nippon Humes Corporation of Japan, catalysed the formation of Humex Bonna Indonesia. This company specializes in the production of steel-cylinder concrete pipes and prestressed concrete pipes. Steel-cylinder concrete pipes are primarily used in watercooling systems for power plants while prestressed concrete pipes are used in the industrial sector to facilitate raw water supply and clean water distribution.
In 1995, in partnership with Nippon Hume Corporation, Dusaspun formed PT. Lisa Concrete Indonesia, which manufactures vertical-cast concerete pipes.
Dusaspun has expanded rapidly through these alliances and extensions. With a current workforce of over 1000 personnel, the company provides products and services in major locations throughout Indonesia. Completed projects range from toll roads, gold courses, real estates, industrial estates, raw water supplies, and clean water systems.
In late December 2000, PT. Wira Tehnik Nusantara was merged into PT. Duta Sarana Perkasa to form a stronger company holding two renowned brands, Dusaspun and Witera.

The company is already recognised as the leading manufacturer of concrete pipes and other precast concrete products in Indonesia. While coping with the demand for high-quality reinforced concrete pipes and other precast products, we have closely monitored the latest developments in the industry in addition to government infrastructure construction programs.

We maintain these standards by controlling the quality of our raw materials, manufacturing processes, and end products in strict laboratory testing.

SAFETY
Dusaspun invests heavily in the safety and care for all its employees. The company has secured the work environment with extensive safety measures for the health and protection of employees. These measures include requiring factory and project site employees to wear pre-approved protective gear and implementing an accident prevention program at all production plants. Moreover, Dusaspun researches to improve the safety features in our production process. Dusaspun deem all employees of utmost value to the company and, thus, we consider their safety of high importance.
ENVIRONMENT
Dusaspun and its subsidiary companies constantly seek to minimise the adverse impacts of its production processes on the natural surroundings. We follow all government environmental regulations and programs and do not release any toxic wastes. Dusaspun has installed water recycling and dust suppression and filtering systems at all factories and work sites, and the company also imposes solid waste management. In its bid to promote a healthier and greener planet, Dusaspun also endorses reforestation in the surrounding areas of its factory sites.

In December 1997, PT. Duta Sarana Perkasa (Dusaspun) and PT Wira Tehnik Nusantara (Witera) received the ISO 9001 award. The ISO 9001 recognises our high standards for quality systems and assurance in design, development, production, installation, and services. This certification also recognises our continuous commitment and meticulous diligence to providing quality products and customer satisfaction.
HUMAN RESOURCES
In order to stay ahead of our competitors, Dusaspun recruits the most competent, highly educated, and dedicated personnel. The major divisions within the company are administration, accounting, sales and marketing, technical service and product development, production facilities, and MIS.
Dusaspun and its subsidiary companies provide various in-house training programs for all employees. Key personnel members are required to complete an English language course in addition to technical and management training. These extensive programs benefit the company's interactions and business transactions with domestic and international organisations.
Employees hired for supervisory positions are cross-trained in all factory operations, including the production processes, technical details, sales techniques, and services. Experienced engineers oversee the company's manufacturing plants and contribute expertise in production, quality control, and product installation.
Senior level employees undergo specialised training at major cities throughout Indonesia and, when necessary, venture overseas to procure further expertise. This training instills knowledge and awareness of the latest developments in production technology and testing procedures for international standards. Dusaspun occasionally recruits expatriate technical staff as part of our technology transfer programs that aim to preserve our high standards of production, service, and product quality.
Through a partnership program, Dusaspun also cooperates with a government research agency to contribute training resources and research and development projects for public work utilities. Dusaspun is proud to have a contributing role in the nation's development for the millennium.
PRODUCT
Dusaspun and its subsidiary companies manufacture a wide variety of concrete-based products. We also assist customers with technical services in designing and installing the products for their projects.
Our concrete pipes are primarily utilized for sewerage and drainage lines, gas and electricity cable ducting systems, form work, and columns. Dusaspun pipes are able to resist external loads imposed by soil and vehicle traffic, internal water pressure, jacking forces, and exposures to aggressive conditions.
Dusaspun pipes are produced in an array of standard lengths, rigorously tested for quality, and assured by international benchmarks for acceptance. We also cater to the needs of individual customers who request for specially designed pipes, such as thick walled pipes, double socket pipes, or pipes with bend sections or of particular lengths.
Our latest products on the market are precast concrete panels and an improved, environmentally-friendly septic tank system, which can be used for high rise buildings, shop houses, shopping malls, and residential houses.
